Subliminal Sponge Bob
Above is my final mural from the recent Chiang Mai trip. Since we had super limited time and an even a tighter budget I kept this one simple. This trip was an adventure and a bit of a holiday, so I used popular characters like Garfield & Tin Tin to visually express these ideas. When I travel I like to eat food and be lazy, hence Garfield and everyone knows Tin Tin gets into the thick of it when he comes to town. The entire trip was insane and fun, so what better way to express that then some subliminal Sponge Bob action and a little Doraemon thrown in for good measure! When I do public murals I really try not to take myself to seriously.

Coming in June: Feel Good Fridays
June 3rd is the official start for Feel Good Fridays at Blue Velvet. So for the next three months Dj Lows & I will be holding it down Friday nights playing music guaranteed to make you feel good. Working with Blue Velvet we even got some drink specials locked down for these nights; keepin’ money in your wallets and smiles on your faces. So add Blue Velvet to your Friday night rounds. Plusone1 Paint Job
Here are some snaps of my final design for the Plusone1 exhibition. The layers of color were built up using fabric paint and fabric markers along with paint pens and good ole’ black Horse markers. Since Pluseone1 caps are mainly worn by bikers I tried to incorporate spirit animal powers along with protection and luck talismans into the hats decoration. Hopefully the cap will help some lucky biker get safely & quickly to their desired destination.

Plus One 1 / Craft Boom Bang / Opening Event
I was invited to jam on one of the amazing Plus One1 bike caps. So it will be on display along with hand painted and altered caps from many other artists. For those who don’t know about Plus One1 it is a really cool mirco brand of hats created by a father and son team in Thailand. The son is a designer and the father is a retired master tailor. So the son conceives the hat designs and picks the materials which are then turned in to final products by his fathers skilled hands. Based of simple cycling hats the love of the material and attention to detail really shows.
